These labels were exclusively printed for Stockmann luxury department store in Helsinki and NK Stockholm in 1956 to be used for the first commercial Moomin products.

The characters are designed by Tove Jansson, Swedish-speaking Finnish novelist, painter and illustrator most well-known for her series of children's books about the Moomin characters.

The pictures were recently discovered and a number of them had to be restored. The restoration project is still going on.

These authentic Moomin labels are being exhibited in several toy museums and cartoon museums around the world.

Printed by Kromipaino Helsinki 1956

Each mounted print is 10cm x 15cm
